Gono begs Gushungo for mercy after deflowering First lady

Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe’s wife had an affair with his central bank chief for five years, the Daily Mail reported last Sunday.

Grace Mugabe is said to be 41 years younger than the 86-year-old president. It is speculated that she has been unfaithful with Gideon Gono, his closest financial and political aide, for the last five years.

The pair used to enjoy the dalliances either at Grace’s farm or in exorbitant hotels in South Africa according to reports. But their long-lasting affair came to an end when Mugabe’s late sister Sabina revealed the scandal on her death bed three months ago.

Devastated by her infidelity, Mugabe summoned and interrogated his most faithful bodyguard, Chademana. Chademana allegedly tried to explain himself by saying he thought it would be wise not to spread the rumors, but he was killed. The fear-stricken Gono is said to have been begging for mercy after the affair came to light.

It is not the first time the Zimbabwe’s first lady has engaged in an affair. She has reportedly eloped with two other men: one who died in a car accident and another who escaped the country.

Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe’s wife, Grace, and his best friend and personal financier, Gideon Gono, have been having an affair behind his back for five years, according to reports. Mugabe, 86, found out about the affair from his dying sister in July. The only other person in the room for the deathbed confession, bodyguard Cain Chademana, later died in mysterious circumstances. Grace also had two prior love affairs.
