Paris Hilton has great respect for her mom, Kathy Hilton, who she constantly goes to for life advice, from style tips to beauty recommendations. In fact, Kathy has been showing Paris and sister Nicky the fashion ropes ever since they were both tiny tots—Kathy often took young Paris and Nicky to couture shows in Paris to the runway shows in New York, and Paris “really loved it.” With such stylish roots, it’s no wonder that Paris has evolved into the fashionista she is today!

Paris, who is currently working on a skincare line, told StyleBistro that her mom taught her the importance of taking care of her skin, which is why she has diligently stayed out of the sun. “I’m happy my mom taught me that,” Paris says of her mom’s beauty wisdom.

Paris continues to go to her mom for style advice today, deeming Kathy as one of her favorite shopping companions. Paris told us,
I’ll look to her for advice because she has really good style. Every time she goes to Paris, she’ll go shopping for me. She has really good taste.

She looks very stylish with some class walking next to Petra into the steakhouse…

Paris’s stuff is light years better looking to me than that blazer look going around LA or Hollywood…much much nicer IMO!!personally I worked in commercial real estate back during the 90′s, I was the only non-irishman in the office…I hated it !!About staying out of the sun, great advice and its never too late to start…I started intentionally wearing baseball caps for this reason about 10 years ago….but I’ve never been a sun worshiper…I find laying in the sun very uncomfortable except for mid to late autumn and early to mid-spring…and maybe occasional winter days…I found snoop dogs Avatar weed skit much funnier than my housemate did, and he smokes 420 (a lot!!) and I don’t…I can’t stand the stuff, personally….I hate hangovers, it is like throwing away 18 hours of my life…I don’t much care for golf or race cars…I’ve been to castles and they are alright to visit…If I’m spending a day at the beach I prefer to have an umbrella…and I’ll also go walk a few miles with my hat on….

Zimbabwe: HIV/Aids and Art in Country

By SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT Published: October 10, 2011 Share Published by the government of Zimbabwe Tony Monda 9 October 2011 opinion Approximately 18 years ago, in the mid-1990s, Zimbabwe lost over 47 (recorded) young prominent visual artists, writers, actors and musicians to the HIV and Aids pandemic in Harare alone in less than a decade (1994-2000). That was my last head count, but sadly we know that there are more unrecorded cases. But while the number may appear small in comparison [...]
